Yves Behar's Calla Chair
Before I got pregnant, I didn’t think twice about kids’ products. I mean, these are things that are just going to be chewed on, thrown, and, more often than you’d think, peed on. Just give that kid something indestructable and save the beautiful stuff for when he is old enough to appreciate it.
But almost immediately after getting that positive pregnancy test, I started craving expensive, exotic, well-designed children’s products. I tried justifying the Bugaboo, shopped for a mini Eames rocker and priced novelty T-shirts for $40 that had a three-month lifespan (size 3-6 months).
Here’s my latest kids’ craving: The Calla Chair, from Yves Behar and sold by Fleurville. This chair isn’t just cool-looking and stylish, but it looks like you could hose the thing off after a particularly spirited meal and no one would be the wiser. From the dishwasher-friendly tray, to the stylish footrest, this is one highchair that I really think our little one needs.
