Tycho “Covers”
I’m constantly fretting over what will become of the album cover. I think the current state of jpegs in iTunes and PDFs with your MP3s isn’t quite it. However, I still really enjoy a well-crafted piece of art-and-type to look at when I’m listening to something. Maybe that’s all you need?
I just bought a few tracks from Tycho, who you may know as Scott Hansen of ISO50, if you’re into design blogs (which I can safely assume you are.) His colorful, dreamy music is perfectly captured in his voluminous output of supporting visuals for it. Here are the two “album covers” that accompanied the two-track EPs I just bought. They came as hi-res jpegs (CMYK, no less!), intended for printing.
