While the regular Posts on The Flavor note interesting design finds, Features are a little more in-depth. They’re photo-essays or slideshows of our collections, or other original content created by The Flavor.

Cement Stamps

Admittedly, this is a bit of an oddball collection, even for me. Nonetheless, I still find the variety of design—and impression—pretty interesting. I shot all these a few years ago, when I still lived in Oakland, CA. They’re all taken from within a half mile radius of my house, which was on 41st and Shafter.

Vintage Racing Cars

Just stumbled across this little set of photos from back when I was at Dwell Magazine. For some reason they sent three guys, of dubious reliability—only one of which was a writer—to cover the Concours d’ Elegance car show at Pebble Beach. I shot a ton of pictures and actually part of this little series ended up in the final article. They’re details of the numbers on the vintage race cars (and one action shot.)
