While the regular Posts on The Flavor note interesting design finds, Features are a little more in-depth. They’re photo-essays or slideshows of our collections, or other original content created by The Flavor. There’s only a few up here now, but we have about a half-dozen more in the works. We just redesigned the site, so things are still trickling online.

Admittedly, this is a bit of an oddball collection, even for me. Nonetheless, I still find the variety of design—and impression—pretty interesting. I shot all these a few years ago, when I still lived in Oakland, CA. They’re all taken from within a half mile radius of my house, which was on 41st and Shafter.
I’m very excited that NPR.org just did a little feature on Chicagotype! It’s for their photoblog “The Picture Show.” The little article and slideshow that accompany it are great, but I thought I’d use the occasion to do my own little “Greatest Hits” collection, with a few highlights they didn’t include.
